PDF Editor Online — Add Text and Images to Any PDF

Our online PDF editor lets you annotate any PDF document directly in the browser — no software to install, no account required for basic use. Add text labels, captions, stamps, and images on top of any page. Works with regular PDFs and scanned documents alike.

What you can do with the PDF editor

Open any PDF file and navigate through its pages using the thumbnail sidebar. Select the Text tool to click anywhere on the page and type. Choose the font family, size, and color from the toolbar. Select the Image tool to insert a photo or graphic onto the page. Move and resize any added element by dragging. Delete selected elements with the Delete button. When you're done, export the edited document as a new PDF.

Works with scanned documents

Scanned PDFs are image-based pages. The editor renders each page as a canvas and lets you place text and images on top. This is useful for filling in forms, adding signatures as images, labeling diagrams, or annotating contracts. The scanned image underneath is preserved intact in the exported file.

Multi-page document support

The editor supports multi-page PDFs. The page thumbnail panel on the left shows all pages. Click any thumbnail to jump to that page and make edits. Each page's annotations are saved independently. The Export PDF button includes all pages with their annotations in the output file.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit the original text inside a PDF?

No. The editor places new content on top of the existing page — it does not modify the original text or structure. To change original text you would need the source file (Word, InDesign, etc.).

How do I add a signature to a PDF?

Create your signature as an image (PNG with transparent background works best), then use the Image tool to place it on the relevant page. Position and resize it to fit the signature line.

Can I undo changes?

You can delete any selected annotation using the Delete button. To start fresh, reload the file. For best results, keep the original PDF and re-edit if needed.

What fonts are available?

The editor includes a selection of common fonts. Text is rendered as a canvas layer and embedded in the exported PDF as an image annotation over the original page.
